Bradley and Lisa at Two Rivers Farm are passionate about raising happy and healthy cattle using methods that help regenerate our soil without harming nature. We think Dexter beef is the best beef we have ever eaten and many of our customers agree!
We are excited to continue offering the Beef CSA, following in the footsteps of Mike and Evelyn at the Dexter Cattle Company. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture which connects local consumers to local foods.
Here’s how it works: Our CSA subscription offers a monthly box containing 20 lbs of grass-fed, grass-finished certified organic beef for 6 months; that amounts to 120 lbs of meat delivered to your door. The first box should be arriving to you at the end of June and the last box will be delivered to you in late November. Each box will contain different cuts depending on the season. Think lean ground organic beef and steaks in the summer with more organic roasts in the fall. All cuts are vacuum packed, labeled and frozen extending the quality of the beef to at least one year.
Price: The price for the CSA is $1000.00 for 120 pounds (lbs). It’s a great way to get a discount on your overall beef orders. Here’s how we break it down. Our lean ground beef is $9.00 per lb. By becoming a CSA member you receive the ground beef and all the other prime cuts for the same $9.00 per lb.. Those delicious T-bones in your monthly box that normally sell for $14.70 per lb… you get them for $9.00. The tender sirloin that we sell for $14.70 per lb… you get them for $9.00 per lb., boneless blade roast, convenient beef strips…. $9.00 per pound. And we deliver your order from our farm directly to your door.
Why do this? Reserve your beef today. We have a limited amount of memberships available. It takes time to grow organic dexter beef and we sell only when it’s best in season. The easiest way to ensure you will have the best organic meat available on PEI is to become a member. All memberships are on a first come first served basis. To join we require a $500 deposit when you sign up with the balance to be paid in full in May, 2025.
